We believe it's important to be very transparent as to why it's free to list on MyOwnMove.

• Our hosting costs are VERY low. To host this site costs us around £10 a month. OK, so this money needs to come from some where, right? That's true, it does. You may also have noticed that there are links at the bottom of the page to a website for a company called My Own Limited. This is the company than owns and runs My Own Limited. Now, it's very important that My Own Limited's site be hosted, regardless of the cost. The money to host MyOwnMove comes from My Own Limited. Their income is via other activies such as IT Consultancy, web development for other clients, etc... Feel free to visit My Own Limited's web site for further information.
• We have no development costs. Again, because MyOwnMove is owned by an IT Consultancy (My Own Limited), all development is done in-house. This saves us thousands of pounds in development costs due to using our own project managers and web designers.
• We started MyOwnMove to save everyone money. That's right. We started MyOwnMove because we were sick and tired of the fees charged by estate agents. So why not save you even more money by not charging you?
• There is advertising on this site. There are small sections of advertising on this site. Most of it is within the Helpful Links section. These links are provided by Google. Whenever anyone clicks on those links it generates a small revenue for My Own Limited. This money is then ploughed back into advertising on places like Google, Microsoft Live etc...

So there you go. That's why it's free to list on MyOwnMove. Although how some sites have the cheek to be charging anything over £50 for a glorified advert is beyond us!

Obviously there are downsides to this. For example, we don't have a dedicated support phone line (support is available via email though!), nor can we take photos of your properties for you, and we can't afford to advertise on Fish4 etc..
We are very confident of the quality you will find on this site, and the amount of features available to you on MyOwnMove.
We'd also like to stress that your information is totally safe!!! We do not sell, or pass on, your information! Ever!
